My verdict?

I started using the toner by integrating it into my day & night routine, and even though it has this tangy & hydrating texture, i didn't really like that it's sticky. I also did not see much change to my skin's condition so, perhaps this is not suitable for me.

^ PSK CC Cream corrector

What is this?

This is a corrector which is able to have 6 main effects, mainly:

• Lightening
• Complexion correction
• Pore minimizing
• Moisturizing
• Refreshing.
• Lighten dull skin.

My verdict

I don't really use cream as of some usage, so to be honest i rather stick to concealer? The texture is also a bit too 'heavy' for me, and since SG is extremely hot at days, i usually go for much lighter coverage

^ Eyes Light, eye brightener 

What is it?

Specially formulated to target sore, dry and tired eyes, Home Love Eyes Light is able to moisturize and relieve fatigue in your eyes. Their technique is by turning effective elements containing multi-active peptide and collagen into Nanoparticles for great absorption. 

My verdict

Used it for a few days, not bad but not a huge change. I think most likely have to use it very consistently over a period of time to see a clear difference of BEFORE v.s. AFTER. That said, i don't have a huge problem with eye bags so maybe thats why too!

Overall, i feel that i am more risk-adverse and rather stick to brands which i have heard before. But i love the concept of having an online platform here which gives SG girls 24/7 access to products which we cant buy because they are based in Taiwan.

2chic Ultra Moist Shampoo for dry and damaged hair

This was the first range that i tried because i had been using my heat curler every morning and i felt that my hair were becoming crispy and brittle. According the the website, this range helps to:

- Leaves hair smooth & supple

It didn't really help much to be honest, and my hair was still pretty dry and damaged. I am not too sure if its because i didn't use the product correctly because i don't really fancy long shower, so usually i just slap some shampoo on my palm and weave it through my hair.

Nevertheless, not really impressed so yeap.

2chic Ultra-volume Shampoo

Some of the benefits as per mentioned on the website for this range includes:

- Builds body without adding weight 

- Plumps & thickens every strand 

- Softens & detangles 

- Prevents dulling build-up 

- Makes hair shiny & bouncy

My expectations went down a little following the first range, reckoning that at the end of the day, it's going to be another 'shampoo' in the mass market. However, started using this for a month and i really like the results of this range! My hair definitely felt softer and much easier to handle, but perhaps the use of argan oil also helped to expedite the showing results. 

Would recommend this to friend - not joking about the thumbs up on these bottles.

2chic Ultra-sleek Shampoo

The next on my list because i see argan oil. I heard from Sijun that it's a really good ingredient to have and that it works, like when you see products with this, you know its good.

Some of the benefits mentioned include:

I usually avoid sleek formula because it makes my hair extra oily, but i am pretty keen to see how this goes. Sometimes i feel that i put my hair under extreme challenges by testing their limits, and if they could talk, they must be hating me haha!

I dont have the chance to try this yet but it's very tempting knowing that there's a thumbs up on the shampoo bottle. Some of the benefits mentioned on the website include:

With this, i end this blog post. Ultimately, i feel that the brand offers a range of products which suit different hair type and it's important to find a type of shampoo/conditioner which works for your hair personality.

Ever since i started working, i dont have the time to doll up so hair become one of the more vital accessory for me since it can either make or break my look for that day. I try to minimize damage for my hair but yeah, you know the morning rush with girls. Glad that there are products like these to save us and give our tresses their well-deserved nutrients everyday!

Personal review

I probably have said this before, but i am very in support of brands which does not perform animal testing on their products. I think it is very important that we nurture such a culture which frowns upon cruelty against animals for the sake of, what? Non-necessary safety procedure? Nonsense.

I tried their "after shower look" mask (which i used AFTER i showered LOL) and love love love the tangy-ness of a hydrogel mask!

As you can see, my noob attempt at taking a picture, but - 

1. Mask split onto the upper and lower part of the face

2. Extremely hydrating (which i really love and can sense the mask taking its effect)

Simply put it on your face (simple task) but make sure to use the smooth side of the mask!

My mask did not woah from ugly duckling immediately transform to angel lah obviously, but it became 

- tangi-er

- softer

- much more hydrated

Really love it, but the masks kept slipping donwards when i placed it on, which irritates me a little because i had to keep making adjustments because my chin isn't covered (and i have a lot of shit going on there so it better stay there)

PERSONAL REVIEW

I am absolutely in love with the CC oil. Been using it for a few days now and i love how manageable my hair has become! I am being honest here, not boasting because i'm sponsored the products ok. 

As for the night care milk, ive been leaving it on before i sleep but i don't see too big of a difference the next morning. Maybe it's because my hair curls and turns around like rollercoaster tycoon so i can't really see the difference, but yeap this is for me lah.

Ok guys, i'm sorry that my drawing is like shit but basically its the basic few
- eyebrow pencil
- mascara
- eyeliner
- lipstick (the cheeks!)

 

1. Appropriate amount (I like to uses 3 pumps) onto hand and spread evenly over face/eye

 The makeup remover comes in such a form whereby its thicker than normal makeup remover (i usually uses water-based ones). 

It feels pretty weird at first, but after a while of getting used to it, it's ok

2. Rinse throughoutly with water
 Simply rub it across your face like how you would during a face wash and viola!

 

AFTER 

So basically, after you are done, the makeup just goes off and you are clean and good to go! Personally, i'm sold. Its amazing that it can remove my eyeliner in one go, even though i did not rub it as hard as i would with my previous makeup remover!

However, you might note that the lipstick did not come off clean like the other products - perhaps the color? But i don't really care that much about removing my lipstick completely (oops) so its fine with me. Plus i don't usually wear such loud colors out lol!

3. Apply on dry face & hands for best result

This is pretty easy to follow, just do it before you do other stuffs.
I usually uses 3 pumps for a basic makeup so yeap, accordingly to the 'thickness' of your makeup at that point of time?

VERDICT

Would definitely buy this again! My face felt 'un-cleaned' the first few times when i used it and i honestly did consider scraping it off as a substitute but hey hey hey, i'm sold after a few more tries. FYI, by the time you read this post, i have already used half a bottle of this makeup remover LOL

I think this can last for quite long because you don't need lots of pumps to remove all the make up? In any case, its suitable for all skin types so no worries on the sensitivity and all that!

Skin Shaper Club

Really excited to start this blog post because i really love and personally attest to their skin program! Today, i would be introducing to you Skin Shaper Club, an aesthetics medispa to help ease your skin problems without having to compromise your busy schedule.

Firstly, a brief introduction on the skin salon. It's located at the heart of town (Orchard central) so it's convenient, fairly i guess, for everyone to simply pop in and out on weekdays and weekends. 

Really elated to be able to try out their services, and the program which i went for is their 

Skin Shaper Facial (30mins)

Each session lasts for around 30-40 mins, but most of the time i manage to finish within the time frame (except the times i'm late .. lol)

Timeline of the 4 sessions

For my first session, it took longer because the therapist had to do a consultation with me which includes 

- filling up my particulars, 

- doing a body size/age analysis for me (in the case that you wish to take up their body programs, you do not have to go through this entire procedure again), 

- Signing relevant documents and going through the procedure with you

This took up a good 10-15 mins, so do head down early for your first session!

Timeline of each session

1. The therapists will first cleanse your skin to prep it for the Light therapy treatment

2. Starts to inject light and thermal energy to breakdown melanin, promote collagen regeneration, as well as to clear inflammatory acne. According to my therapists, it also helps a little in shaping your face!

3. Mask, followed by all the relevant serums/sunblock etc to feed your skin :D

4. Head over to the club lounge (selective members) to enjoy some snacks/light food and refreshments, as well as to tidy up/re-apply makeup etc etc.

I loveeee the idea of the club lounge because my hair looks like crap each time i finish the session. Blame it on oily and crappy hair DNA :( The club lounge really makes everything so much easier, plus Jasmine always gives me delicious and yet healthy food to eat after each sessions!<3

Along the corridor of the place // Even though its not as huge as some other aesthetics medispa, i do feel that it's enough and not too small or space constraint. It has 1 consultation room, 2 treatment room and 1 club lounge (which is the biggest lol!)

This is the view that you would be enjoying whilst eating the complimentary food the therapists prepared while you are doing your mask. It faces KPO so yeap, pretty cool. & super good to take selfie at because natural sunlight duh

This was what Jasmine made for me during the first session, and the congee is really good. 

Second session which consists of chawanmushi with some other delectable side dishes.

Pictures/Verdict

I think its pretty apparent that my face did improve, but only because i attended each session diligently, did masks on a regular basis and also became more hardworking with my day and night skincare routine. Perhaps you can put this in a way that i don't want these results to disappear and i wanted to 'keep it up'.

 In fact, there are times whereby i only do my brows, eyes and lips but my friends thought that i slapped on BB cream/foundation - which i didn't at all!

I also felt more confident going out without BB cream/foundation which really makes things easier since i can save some time and use it on other stuffs (like choosing what to wear haha)

The therapists did told me however, that they usually recommend customers to go for 6-8 weekly treatments before rendering to 1 treatment each month. So i think its important that you do not see this as a magic pill but a slow build-up towards better skin :)

Behind-the-scenes

Nothing on except for brows and eyes!

And that's me and my therapist, Jasmine! Its a very friendly place and she's like a mother (in a good way), like asking if you did masks, and exfoliate etc etc. Plus, when she saw that my lips were cracked, she applied lip balm for me (which was out of her job scope)! 

I think its the personal touch here which makes it different from other aesthetics medispa, and it should keep it that way. Its so important to have good service staff because even if you have the best of everything, if your employees cannot deliver 'em, its still useless.

Indeed, the moisture spray was non greasy and gets absorbed very fast when i apply it on my face after my daily wash every morning and night.

So it's super easy to use, basically you just have to hold 3-4 inches (7 -10cm) from skin and spray in a continuous motion. Afterwards, gently rub into skin for your skin to absorb. Its that simple! I really like the concept of this moisture spray because i'm kinda lazy - no need to wash your hands after application! You can just head to bed after you are done and sleep immediately.

Great for people who are looking for fuss-free and low maintenance products. 

Sadly, i do not have a good BEFORE and AFTER pictures to share because i screwed up my complexion these day - i used a scrub which i mistaken as a facial wash and used it for 3 consecutive (day and night), and ended up with really, really dry skin and outbreak :(

Personal Verdict

Personally, i felt that the product did moisturize my skin and i woke up to a much hydrated skin. However, because of personal preferences, i really dislike the after-smell of the spray - i kept smelling cocoa butter over my face and it gave my the feeling that my face is smeared with food LOL

I mean, some people do like the smell and all, but i kinda like my products to be "smell-less", or maybe just very mild smell like lavendar etc. So this really minus quite some bit, even though it works well as a moisture spray.

Love love the concept - so easy and fuss free! Would had been perfect if it comes in versions which is odorless!

Rating: 4/5 (minus 1 for the smell)

Essential Light Finish Volumizing & Deep Cleansing

Hi ladies and gentlemannnn, 

today i would be writing about a new series of shampoos that Essential has came up with to specifically combat 'combination hair'.

So firstly, whats combination hair?

I super hate that feeling.

Its almost like you can pinch you fringe together and it just ... get into a huge bundle and just damn ugly lah.

Review

I decided to put the shampoo to the test and shower an hour before i head out at around 5pm. So a before picture of my hair as shown here. I also used the massage shampoo brush, which was told by me to be used by many Japanese women to remove dirt and sebum form their scalp more effectively as well as to promote blood circulation.

& at around 11 pm when i reached home at night. I went to Orchard area the other day and i have to say that the SG weather had been quite crazy recently. In the past, i had been using the wrong type of shampoo and ended up with oily fringe even before the night ends. But ta-daa, look at my hair after i'm home

Apart from visible messiness (cause i damn tired already), i still have rather 'fluffy' fringe and manageable hair!

I had since changed my daily shampoo brand to Essential's cleansing shampoo and i have to say that its working better than i thought. I know this is an advertorial and all, but i'm someone who cares a lot about my looks (yes, that includes my hair) so i do get very frustrated and had asked around on how to 'cure' my oily fringe.
