Uber Taxi

This is not a sponsored post but i thought that it actually works so i decided to write on it. Basically, i was told by my cousin that Uber Taxi is having a promotion and it was offering free taxi rides x 2 last Wednesday. I didn't really believe it at first because i'm like "FREE TAXI? SURE ANOT" , but i decided to give it a try because i mean, they claim that its free taxi so if its not, then i would just pay and blacklist them lo.

So i decided to take a taxi to school because it was near to my house so even if its a fraud, it would be probably be less than $10? 

THEN, NO TAXIS AT ALL. 

NO FRIGGIN TAXI.

Chen took a cab and accidentally chose UberExec (WHICH IS FRIGGIN BIG BUT EXPENSIVE), and he paid $38. Minus away the $10 promo code from me, he paid $28. From woodlands to Jurong area i think. HAHA, he damn heart pain, and i felt really guilty for not letting him know the details clearly. 

Decided to take the taxi the other day because it was 25% off for the month of October and i wanted to try the offer and use up my credits!

Took my first ride yesterday and it was damn fast! I took UberX and it was basically a car with

1. NO TAXI SIGN ON THE TOP OF THE TAXI

2. NO METER AT ALL

Everything is done seamlessly via the application.

You book the taxi, and then you can message/call the taxi. 

You board the taxi, and you just go!

& once its done, simply tell your driver to end the ride and you can just go.

LIKE BYE BYE and GO.

You don't have to pay and wait for change or whatsoever, You can literally jump out from your taxi and go to whatever appointments you have.

GOOD RIGHT?

My first taxi with Uber. They will send you the receipt to your e-mail address and you can then log into your application and give your taxi driver a rating. I feel that because they are rated, drivers are technically friendlier and much more polite. I think that's really great lah hahaha!

I was charged to my (more of like SJ's) credit card and i wanted to use my credits! They immediately solved the problem (within 10 mins) and charged it to my credits instead. Talk about efficiency!

Then today, i was late for my class and took another taxi again.

I think that its cheaper (distance fare wise) as compared to Comfort because i usually have to pay more than $10 when i travel to school. The base fare is much more expensive, but i think its better if you travel further on a Uber taxi as compared to normal taxi.

But then again, its 25% off for the month of October soooo we will see again.

YEAH THAT'S RIGHT,

Verdict

-Quick response from the customer service team

- Chances of getting a taxi is definitely higher than some other cabs since UberX cater specifically to people who uses the app to call the taxis

- You can easily split fare with your friends who has the application as well

- Able to estimate the fare (only for UberX) before deciding to take a cab or not.

- Pricey as compared to other cabs (when the offer ends i supposed)

- Little to no cabs during peak period

Nevertheless,

I really love Uber Taxi for its quick response (customer service and when i needed a taxi), as well as cashless which means that lesser time on the payment part. The taxi is also pretty comfy as compared to other taxis soooo yeap.
