Rant

So, next Saturday is my first paper and here i am, typing away on my laptop. This is gonna be a pretty emotional post so if you are not that comfortable with midnight muses and random de-motivating shit, then you might wanna skip this entire part.

-------------- START OF RANT --------------

I am definitely less motivated as compared to last semester. I worked very hard during my first semester because i had a goal in mind: SIM GE Scholarship. I heard that the pre-requisite was to have full HDs (80/100) on your score sheet and i worked very hard towards that goal. I didn't meet SJ during the weekends (it was his SGT and MP training period), i slogged my guts out almost every day in Starbucks and i usually study from 3pm - 11pm (until starbucks closes on so many ocassions). My friends all called me the chiongster but i didn't care at all. If i get the scholarship, it would really solve lots of problems.

I don't have to scrimp and save each month and worry about school fees when the term starts. I don't have to have tiffs with my mum over school fees and over how i want to borrow from the banks so as to lessen the load on the family and how she feels that borrowing from the banks is stupid and she rather feel burdened than to pay the interest fees.

I don't have to worry and calculate my finances every single month and look enviously at people who could head overseas for exchange programs. I definitely don't have to worry my parents about the hefty $6,420 school fee every six months.

I'm not saying that i am super poor and paying for my school fees would leave me to eat instant noodles every day. But if i had the scholarship to alleviate my monetary issues, it's something that is worth working for and set as a goal.

Results came back and i had 4 Ds instead (70/100). It was good to many, but nope for a scholarship. & i am no athletics who could run to save my own ass so no on the sports excellence part. All i had was that paper with all my grades.

I decided to try for the scholarship and started to be more pro-active when it comes to school activities. I wanted to have a meaningful and fulfilling school life because its my final year.

Fast forward, i applied. Its been three weeks. There were no reply. This is my last chance because the next application period is on Sep and i would had graduated by then.

This is life. You try your best but that doesn't mean that it would happen.

I had an assignment and i worked for it. But i only got 20/40 , and that is barely a pass. Not too sure how my overall score would be, but the feeling definitely suck. It made me re-think about myself and my capabilities - maybe i am just another average or less than average student after all. Maybe the 4 Ds were just lucky. I'm not really that good after all.

With the BKK trip at the end of the year, and the HNMUN/WORLDMUN trip (hopefully) next year's Feb and Mar, it really just meant more money to be poured in. & yeap, school fees too.

I really wonder how it would be then and i really wish that i would had saved enough for all these extra expenses when the time comes. And yes, in case you are wondering, i worked for my own allowances and had been paying for all my stuff since i was in polytechnic.

So sometimes, it really irritates the hell out of me when people take their education for granted. Your parents are rich, they can afford you a degree course. You can afford to retake that module or perhaps, even fail that module so that you don't have to step into the working society any time sooner.

PLEASE

Please be matured and think about how your parents saved for your education. Think about the long meetings that they go through each day, or the amount of shit they have to take from their horrible bosses. Think about the time they spent traveling to and fro their workplace and ultimately, think about how they don't expect anything in return from you but for you to have a degree and live a better life than them.

Please be more matured and think like an adult.
You are an university student for a reason.
Think like one.

& Please, leave me out of your  'i don't care about my education at all' game just because you can afford or was forced into this path by your parents. Someone out there is slogging their guts out and taking their education very seriously. Not everyone is as fortunate as you to be born with a silver spoon, or have the privilege to travel all around the world for the fucking 'experiences'.

I am not saying that it is a crime to be rich, but the next time you decided to treat your education like a piece of joke and might even, pull someone's else grades down because you need to spend time with XXX/do this blah blah instead of contributing towards the project, just stop for a minute and think of how irresponsible you are.

So to sum it out, i'm really pissed at people who take their parents' money for granted just because its not theirs, and people who don't do work for projects.

I'm not really pin-pointing at anymore here, it's just a generalization. But if the shoe fits, feel free to wear it and maybe, just start thinking from other people's perspective for once.

Well, what more can i say? Stay optimistic and just move on with life.
At least my side business is picking up and people are buying our stuffs hahaha! Would be concentrating and talking about it more on my blog after my exams :)

--------------- END OF RANT --------------

Date with SJ over the weekends and spent some good quality time together! Thanks for always cheering me up even though i know its just to cheer me up <3 Love you lah.

Been in love with such coordination these days ever since i saw a model wearing it for Stradivarius! It's not really that warm but i would rather stay inside air-con room hehehe.

REVIEW

Outerwear - I really love the green shirt because it's super easy to pair it off with any outfits and immediately making it look casual. But it's a little sheer to be worn as a piece and i'm still experimenting with mandarin collars.

Top - The shirt is SUPER comfy and i have worn it lots of time that there are mini holes at the back of the shirt! I think the quality is not that good for a less than $10 top, but its super comfortable and i love it <3

Bottom - High waist shorts got me quite a lot of compliments! No idea why because it looks very similar to every other ones that i have. I love the shade though - it has this washed off effects and i really love it!

I would be adding in more outfits as i go along, so thanks for reading! :)

Mini Haji Lane Exploration

It had been a while since i met all the girls and i was really excited to have a mini catch-up with them last Saturday! Xinni wanted to try and red velvet waffles over at Stateland Cafe (coincidental or what, i was browsing through their instagram tagged photos the other day). Since Joey could only meet us during evening time due to open house, i met Xinni and we went to explore Haji Lane first.

We went to Shop Wonderland and its a quaint cafe located along Haji Lane, alongside the boutique stores. I was attracted to the cafe because of it's name 'Wonderland', and if you know me, i am a huge fan of Alice in wonderland because everything is so mystical and pure amazing.

We took a lot of pictures because the lighting was good, and ..  we are girls and that's what girls do when we are bored. Or at least most of us. We were dressed because we wanted to take #OOTD shots, but i only realized that i wasn't dressed that nicely after seeing the shot. This is so unfair because i thought i looked okay, but when i head out it looks so meh beside my friends. 'keh.

& so began our non-stop selfie conquest and weird facial expressions (mostly from me). The guy sitting directly behind us, behind the mirror must had been thinking that these two girls really like crazy, keep taking pictures haha!

Xinni says that we look very 文艺 here. I also think so.
Its like the "Hi, its very nice to meet you"

LOL LOL LOL. Then we went to take #OOTD shots over at this really nice graffiti wall, and people are walking here and there and it was a little embarrassing for us and we kept giggling to each other like silly girls, and trust me - i have seen girls doing that, like being paiseh about it and all (you know all those #OOTD poses yeah) so yes, its embarrassing.

There's almost a mutual silent understanding between the passer-bys and the ones taking the #OOTD shots.

"Yes i am just taking my #OOTD shots and trying to look like a model, but i am gonna pretend that im just idle-ly looking at my phone and wow look at my phone casing, its so amazing"

"Oh i know you are trying to hide the fact that you are taking #OOTD shots, don't worry i will try not to look. But i will and i am internally feeling amused at how embarrassed you are, and yes i have those moments too so i am not judging but yes, i am laughing."

Maybe i am just being imaginative, but having been in these two positions before, that's kinda what i think at that point of time.

The #OOTD shot that i took for Xinni over at the graffiti wall. I thought this one got feel leh hor. Hmm i think Xinni is somehow like a natural model HAHHAA, got feel got feel.

& this is mine, which Joey took for me. And can i say that this girl is absolutely good in taking #OOTD shots?!?! Its like she is a natural, she takes really good shots! Plus she isn't shy or anything so it kinda made us braver as well. HAHA, next time we know who to find if we need a #OOTD photographer.

Basically, my entire outfit, other than the bag and outerwear, is from Taobao. Yeap, even those pair of shoes. Call me Queen of taobao now, HAHAHA!

A special feature of the amazing photographer behind all these amazing pictures heh heh.

Ok, moving on!

Stateland Cafe over at Bali Lane

Their red velvet waffles is pretty good and new to the taste-bud. It also looks pretty appetizing and looks so pretteh with the ice cream and the lines design used to decorate the waffles!

We also ordered their Eggs benedict to share, but its not really worth the price? ($15+) There's only 1 egg when egg benedicts usually have 2 eggs, and its pretty small, and probably not even enough to make one person full as a main. So yeah, not worth.

The place is small and cosy, but seats are limited so if you are intending to head down there on weekends or busy time periods, you might want to go there earlier! We also waited for about 15 minutes for the food to arrive.

Took a lotttt of shots to get this shot haha! Xinni kept saying that its not her problem but the model problem, and we just kept insisting that she should take more shots because .. well, we just want more shots!

Left the place to shop around Bugis Village, and came across this really beautiful building which boast statues of Greek characters (according to Xinni, but to me they look like musicians?), but its really beautiful. Its an office building according to Xinni, and it must seriously be a bliss to work in such a beautiful environment all the time bah?!

Didnt take pictures of the place outside, but we went to their restroom to camwhore LOL.

If you, for a second, starts to question our sanity, just understand that sanity is really boring and its better to be different. But its better to be different when alone and with friends.

Heh heh heh.

So that about sums up the day, and we all bought similar shirt in different shades, and thats so cool to me because i always wanted to wear friends x friends cothings with my best friends and now we can!!

Till the next timeeeeeeeee

Mini gathering @ The Sushi Bar

Mini dinner gathering before Sijun and Kwanter starts their life as army boys! Dinner was suggested by Deborah over at The Sushi Bar.

Their food is really good! The queue is long so we waited for around half an hour before we got a seat. The bill came up to be around $86 for all these and 3 bottles of beer @ $20. No service charge or GST! :)

Personally i prefer the Salmon here over the standing sushi bar ones. Its chunky and juicy, and most importantly, it tastes fresh and not raw. I felt that the salmon over at the standing sushi bar was so fresh it tasted pretty raw. Didnt really like it that much.

Gonna miss this boy a lot. I wanna type some mushy stuffs here like "insert a paragraph of how i would miss you and how we would last and how i would wait for you", but i figure it would be too much for the readers to take. So im gonna keep it simple and say

You can do it!
I believe in you.

& last but not least, im loving my new shirt from & shorts i bought recently online.
Its so pretty /swoons. Absolutely in love with the kissy lips all over me. HAHA

I have been thinking of starting a #Lifeofarecruitsgf (life of a recruit's girlfriend) blogging challenge for the next 9 weeks when Sijun is in army. I have no idea if i can keep up and continue to blog for everyday and publish it as a weekly thing, but i guess its simple since im not gonna write essays on how i feel.

Sooo, if you are a girlfriend of a guy who is gonna go into army soon like maybe next year or so, i do hope my posts helps a little in allievating and preparing you guys for the new phase in the relationship! I cant promise all good and fantastic tips, but at least you would know what are the things you would expect to meet and bump into as the days goes on.

So then! This challenge starts from tomorrow night (which would be the day i starts to not see him at all)
The first post would be up on the first Sunday, which would be on the 10th November :)

Till then! :) xoxo.

Angela's 21st birthday

Havent been blogging for a while, so sorry guys! Hope everyone had a lovely Halloween weekend last week, because i sure did! It's my first time dressing up for Halloween, and also attending a 21st birthday party of a friend :D

The location was Trellis Tower over at Toa Payoh. Met Rei and Alan, and along the way Kaoru when we reach TPY MRT. Took bus and ended up at the wrong condo FML. & i wore the pair of heels which gave me killer muscle ache as well as blisters. Gonna throw that pair away soon.

The super nice cake of Angela's!<3 It looks so pretty doesnt it?

With the birthday girl!<3 & Shera who photobombed behind us LOLOLOLOL.

I didnt really take super nice pictures because i was super hungry, my heels was killing me, the lighting was bad, and i didn't bring my camera. Talk about being consistent with blogging, pft.

I tried to do some minor edits to the pictures and enhance the lighting and such, but its still pretty pix-elated so yupp :( There were many pictures that day, so i just randomly choose some to be posted! :)

& a nice picture taken by William (and i dont even know when it is LOL!)

& my look of the day! Decided to go simple with a mini hat and tied up my hair with two mini ponytails. My entire look was inspired from vampire (accessories), and broken dolls. Kinda, yeah! <3

Super loving my ring and bracelet!!
I bought it online for less than $10 for both pieces woo-hoo <3

Really short post which i spammed with pictures to make it look like a long one. Gonna be pretty busy this week because AFA is coming up and i have yet to complete my staff. Duh.

Would also be going to the Topshop Fashion Show this coming Saturday with Deborah!! Thanks for the invite sweetie, can't wait!
