Wednesday //

Taking a break from my last individual assignment of the semester. Last week was crazy, mainly because i was juggling an individual assignment (50%) wtf and a test (15%) which were due on the same date. I know it seems kinda little like, 2 only mah!, but the assignment got my friends and i super whoozy and feeling like crap because the instructions ain't that clear and my lecturer was PMS-ing (a lot) during that week.

But its goneeeeee.

Ok, maybe not really. One last assignment due next Monday and i would be free-er. Would only be left with one last group project and then its exam, & then i would officially graduate from the school. Seems like only yesterday that i applied for RMIT and felt really disappointed at myself not making into any of the local universities. But my perceptions had changed a bit since then and even though i still recognize the clear difference on the quality of the degree certification, i learnt that going through the 'private schooling' route made me realized many things that i would otherwise not be able to 'feel'/'have a taste of' if i were to go on the traditional route.

I think sometimes, you just have to see the best in what's there for you and look at the bright side.

Ok, so back on to whats up. I'm currently typing this away over at a quaint Starbucks in NUS with Joey beside me. Her report is due today, and she's only starting on it today. Talk about last minute hahahaha.

Walked pass Prinsep area the other day and had a go at nookie. There's apparently a queue and i remembered seeing mentions of it somewhere around FB. Had a go at it and bought the choco banana ($6.90) and liked their instagram page for 10% off.

It's just not really for me i guess.

Went for a gathering for my grandmother's birthday over at my aunt's house the other day. Look at the cake! Super pretty right? We celebrated a week before in conjunction with CNY

Brought this dude along because he was afraid to be alone during the weekend 8D
Hahaha kidding lah

& these were the food that we ate on her actual birthday over at her house. Look at that pot of goodness with abalone and all /lovey dovey eyes. & i helped my dad to cook that plate of sweet and sour fish ok! :D

The other day over at his house. Went to his house and he cooked Spag for me (wheee) and visit Tigger as well. He still loves to squeeze between us - separation anxiety? Haha
Much lightbulb leh!

But ok lah, look at those puppy eyes.
Come lah come lah

I can't remembered why did i dig this picture out from my FB but i remember i wanted to show someone how i looked like when i had long fringe. Maybe it was to post on my dayre but i kinda miss this hairstyle and look!

This picture really like not bad ah, Deb's selfie skill really damn zai.
Missing this girl loads too, goodluck with studies yeah, ah girl!

Came across this show on my newsfeed yesterday and tried to watch the first episode .. and now i'm on my 5th episode.

ITS GOOD

I'm definitely not a fan of the DC franchise but this show is really good. Kinda excited to see Joker and Harley in the show soon but in the meantime, im good with Penguin, Cat and Fish's plot progress. I wish they focus more on Cat and Ivy though - but Penguin's actor has a flair for acting.

Cant wait for more and season 2!

Lois and Justin's wedding #stingraywedding

#Stingraywedding on 29 Aug 2014

Extremely happy for my cousin who got married on 29 Aug to a wonderful man. I have to admit that we are not exactly that close and we don't talk as much, and head out as often as i would with Stephanie because she moved to Las Vegas some years back for studies and work purposes.

But.

Isn't it amazing to see a lovely couple tie the knot? I've always felt apprehensive about marriages, i mean just look at the alarmingly rate of statistics for separation cases in SG, but they kinda changed my mind. They gave people the feeling that they are kinda made for one another, and you can feel that love Justin would have in his eyes when he looks at Lois. Maybe it's a intuition or anything, but it really warms my heart to see such scenes unfolding. I'm definitely a die-hard romantic even though i can't handle affections in public very much.

I really hope that they would continue to find joy and happiness in the cradle of each other. It's not always easy to find a man who's willing to travel 20 hours across states for a wedding dinner, and it's not easy to find a woman who just wanna have a simple wedding because she didn't want the husband to feel left out, and the fact that she is always there for him because you know how it feels to be away from home and to somewhere really new.

Really happy for them!

I wonder when it's my turn? I don't fantasy about wedding but i can't help but hold that tiny hope that my wedding would be just the way i imagine it to be - white, fluffy and gatsby-alike.

But anyways! Not dropping any hints or whatsnot here because now is definitely not the time for wedding bells (just look at my age!) but it is always good to daydream every now and then.

Dreaming is a form of planning after all :)

Its Midweek!

Hi guys! Its midweek already and August is gonna be zooming past before our eyes really soon. SJ and i had been working on a project lately, or more of like a business thingy that we really want to launch it successfully, so we'll see how it goes!

School's so far so good, but having a lecture at 830am today is really, really tiring. I still have gotta pop over for tuition later during evening time, and i will probably only be back home at around 8pm. So tired. Glad that i only have three days of school each week.

2 assignments gonna be due soon, so i have gotta start cracking. & today is the day whereby i would know if i got into the UN conference which i applied to via my school and i'm really excited! In case anyway is interested, its WorldMUN to be held in Seoul and HMUN to be held in Boston. SIM haz two rounds for applicants, namely a written assessment and a 10-minute individual presentation, both relating to international relations and diplomacy. I, with a stroke of luck, managed to pass round 1 and just had my presentation last Monday. I talked about the gas conflict in Ukraine right now, and i'm probably an expert on the topic now. Ok, maybe not expert, maybe just like advanced or higher than average when it comes to the information and facts related to this issue.

Really grateful to SJ for burning his Sunday with me to help me in preparing the slides and presentation. I love you so much, and would always be awed with how much you know about current affairs and general knowledge which i probably would not know of until you explain it to me.

So last Sunday was really chill (the way i would do it if i lived together with SJ because i am so lazy to head out every weekend sometimes), and i invited him to a dinner not much would have the chance/willing to go to!

The Annual Ghost Month Dinner

Its a dinner whereby you would have a platform to auction and guests to bid for the items (example alcohol, rice and decorative items which symbolizes luck, fortune and wealth).

It's also like an occasion for guests to pray for good health and luck, as well as to gather and have dinner with their family members and friends!

I think it's my 2nd or 3rd year coming to this dinner already. Wanted to ask SJ over last year but he had work so he couldn't make it. Glad that we both had time for the dinner this year since he was pretty intrigued with everything. His first time lah.

FOOOODDDDD

I got lazy at the end and forgo the prawns, buns and ice cream LOL. But the food all not bad de lahh.

Mini entry for midweek, would be back with more posts!

On the other hand, i had been watching

and its super entertaining.

Ok, gotta start on my assignments.

Till then, xoxo

Spuds and Aprons and Llao Llao Yogurt

Some pictures from last Sunday! Another lepak day playing L4D2 and walking around town. It's getting so incredibly boring to go town every weekend doing absolutely nothing and just walking around. Planning to go east coast park this weekend to cycle and do something outta our normal plans.

Still figuring why my camera doesn't focus too well when we put it on timer mode. So friggin irritating.

=======================================================

Last Sunday was an outing for all the cousins who falls under my age group (14 - 28 ,, i think) for a lunch gathering over at Spuds and Aprons, Mount Faber. The place is really pretteh, like the scene and all. Not too sure why i never explore Mount Faber before, but probably because i'm too lazy to go hill climbing. LOL. But anyways, the place is really cool and the scene is to die for.

Had the chicken drumstick and its not bad lah! But i only ate the drumstick because i was too full from the appetizers and side dishes, and also i'm not a fan of breast-like meat 8'D

Mountain of Happiness ice creammmm. Really gooey at the end, but i like the mocha flavor and the choco chips embedded inside this bowl of goodness. Melts way too fast though, urgh.

All the cousins and some of them brought their partners! I too shy to bring SJ LOL. Should had brought him, he would had love the view.

Free cable car with courtesy of Bernard! When was my last cable car ride? I'm guessing at least a good 10 years ago LOL. I mean, maybe more than that. Its $29 leh, siao so expensive.
Thanks Bernard for the free ride!!!

Went to my aunt's house to discuss the wedding details of Lois, who's gonna have her wedding dinner in SG even though she was married back in Las Vegas. Getting married at Las Vegas sia, damn cool. Next time i also wanna get married at some other country and take chio pictures hehehe.

Sijun came over and he was probably overwhelmed by the number of cousins i have haha. Cause he only have like two cousins from the mum's side and a few over at Malaysia?

The number of cousins i have totaled in this picture, and its only like 70% of the entire family.
Can't help buy say that 大家真的太会生了。/o/

Went to somerset and spotted this yougurt which i heard is super delicious so just queue only. The queue was very long though.

So whilst queuing, take pictures lo! & SJ bought a new shirt, which i really like! At first when i saw the shirt, i thought like "walau so ah beng. Like some little kiddo wanna be ah beng, SJ wear liao cfm also look like that. Don't want, not nice"

But he wanted to try so i ok, let you try. Later i say not nice you also wont buy, HAHAHAH

BUT IN THE END AH,
NOT BAD LEH.

Hahahha wtheck. He doesn't look very ahbeng when he wears the shirt haha.
Surprise surprise. /o/

The very nice yogurt, which is really very nice. HAHAHA
Chose the wildberry sauce based on recommendations, but we feel that it kinda overtook the taste of the yogurt. Gonna give the choco sauce a go next time, as well as their smoothie. Hohohoho.

Also went to tried Noodle Place at somerset @ 313 which is completely not worth the hype and the money. Not gonna go to that restaurant again, my house downstair wanton mee nicer sia. =.=

Ok, gonna go to more exciting places during the weekend so that i can have more exciting pictures to post yeah. Till then guys!!~
