Essential products - CC oil & Night care milk

Sponsored Post - Sample Store

If you are one of the girls who wake up with still, lovely and luscious hair

or

you rock the whole out-of-bed hair look,

you are deeply envied by this girl over here. I have really curly hair so w/o my hair dryer and straightener, most of the time i look exactly how you would imagined the lyrics for the song 'Heart attack' goes - Won't wash my hair, then make 'em bounce like a basketball

Really curly like urgh. But i don't really care about the nitty gritty parts as long as i have a solution for the problem ,,, until Sample store decided to send me these Essential products that made me see a whole new world, or rather, a whole new head of hair.

Essential is a recurring brand on my blog so i think everyone is pretty familiar with their products for now. The company seems to be doing a re-branding campaign of some sort and targeting at young working adults who care about their physical appearances and are active on social media.

These are some facts that you need to know about these 2 new products

CC Oil
Forms a protective coat around each hair strand
Protects your hair from the 5 main hair stresses:

✓ Blow drying
✓ Combing
✓ Split Ends
 ✓ Hair Breakage
✓ Dryness

Very irritating but no choice, something that you have to go through due to the hectic lifestyle of Singaporeans

In short - your hair is going through damages and 'wear-&-tear' every single day

I am definitely a prey to Mr. blow drying because i blow dry my hair whenever i head out, like its a must (because if not, my hair curls like crazy)

LOOK AT HIS STUPID FACE LOL

Usage: To be applied in the morning and can be reapplied any time of the day.

Night care milk

Next will be the night care milk, which is supposedly something you place on your hair before you sleep to combat pillow friction and damage (didn't know such a thing exist until now)

Protects your hair from pillow friction by leaving a protective coat around each hair strand
Prevent misaligned cuticles when hair rubs against the pillowcase
Leaving hair more manageable the next morning

Both products has the Cuticle Coat Protection leaves hair smooth & tangle free all day which contains Hair Supplement Oil, similar to hair’s natural oil.

Usage: To be applied on damp or dry hair before going to bed.

PERSONAL REVIEW

I am absolutely in love with the CC oil. Been using it for a few days now and i love how manageable my hair has become! I am being honest here, not boasting because i'm sponsored the products ok.

As for the night care milk, ive been leaving it on before i sleep but i don't see too big of a difference the next morning. Maybe it's because my hair curls and turns around like rollercoaster tycoon so i can't really see the difference, but yeap this is for me lah.

If you are interested to try the product, you can purchase:

> Essential CC Oil (60ml) for S$11.90
> Essential Night Care Milk (100ml) for S$11.90

You can also  play the Essential’s Mane Hero Facebook game and combat the 5 evil Hair Stress Brothers and Pesky Pillow King and win attractive weekly prizes!

Essential Light Finish Volumizing & Deep Cleansing

Advertorial - SampleStore

Hi ladies and gentlemannnn,

today i would be writing about a new series of shampoos that Essential has came up with to specifically combat 'combination hair'.

So firstly, whats combination hair?

Can’t decide if your hair is oily or dry? Maybe it is a bit of both – oily roots and dry ends. Just like facial skin having oily and dry zones is known as ‘Combination Skin’, hair that exhibits such mixed behavior is known as ‘Combination Hair’.

And if i were you (which i am because my hair suay suay is combination hair), i would be in for a real headache because how exactly are you going to 'cure' this problem? Most shampoos today are created to target a specific problem, sooooo now how?

Buy one for oily roots and another for dry ends? Very troublesome right?
Plus you would probably mess up your hair's condition since shampoos meant for oily hair would make your hair even drier, and shampoos meant for dry hair would result in excessive build up at the roots and give you the oily oily feeling.

I super hate that feeling.

Its almost like you can pinch you fringe together and it just ... get into a huge bundle and just damn ugly lah.

But introducing - The new improved Essential range

With the optimum combination of Smart Cuticle Care & Sebum Cleansing Technology in the Light Finish Volumizing and Deep Cleansing Care variants, you can now achieve moisturized hair ends while maintaining a refreshed, breathable scalp!

So basically i'm more concerned with my oily scalp and how it would make my fringe sticks together after a long day at work, i had been using the deep cleansing care shampoo and conditioner meant for oily-type hair

Review

I decided to put the shampoo to the test and shower an hour before i head out at around 5pm. So a before picture of my hair as shown here. I also used the massage shampoo brush, which was told by me to be used by many Japanese women to remove dirt and sebum form their scalp more effectively as well as to promote blood circulation.

& at around 11 pm when i reached home at night. I went to Orchard area the other day and i have to say that the SG weather had been quite crazy recently. In the past, i had been using the wrong type of shampoo and ended up with oily fringe even before the night ends. But ta-daa, look at my hair after i'm home

Apart from visible messiness (cause i damn tired already), i still have rather 'fluffy' fringe and manageable hair!

I had since changed my daily shampoo brand to Essential's cleansing shampoo and i have to say that its working better than i thought. I know this is an advertorial and all, but i'm someone who cares a lot about my looks (yes, that includes my hair) so i do get very frustrated and had asked around on how to 'cure' my oily fringe.

FREEBIES

Definitely my fave section because i get to share some freebies and news with you guys!

Ending this post with my freshly-washed locks when i was in KL ,, and just look at how it helped me to feel better and much more confidence as compared to a head of oily locks! :D

Thanks for reading and i hope some of you will find my review useful!
Love ya <3

Essential Haircare

Sponsored Post by Sample Store

Hi guys! I'm back with another post about Essential, a popular haircare brand in Japan. If you are just like me and have bad hair days ... almost everyday like this

I FEEL YOU

It's really sad, especially when you are having day to night activities! I think this is super applicable on young working adults (especially ladies) because sometimes we want to unwind after a day of work, but our hair gets all oily and stinky, especially when it comes to Singapore's bad weather which is

HOT
HOT
HOT

!!!!

My problems always, always lies with my fringe which starts to have all these ugly "holes" midway into the day or when its reaching evening time, depending on the time i washed my hair beforehand.

All of these are my bad hair days "disguised" as "ok" days but i get so irritated because i feel that hair really dictates your look a lot. I mean, both SJ and i are very very very and extremely picky about our hair (he probably rub it off me) so ,,

Can you tell how my fringe looks so "stuck together" and friggin oily?! I had to twirl them together, and this happens more than often when my fringe is longer than bangs.

Hence, this always led back to me having

bangs because even though its boring, its the safest fringe and hairstyle.

Either or, i'm really glad to have these range of products from Essential! I really want my good hair days back!

Essential's new relaunch with new technology/formula is here this October to help Singaporeans combat such problems, like what i faced with today's weather. There are a total of 4 different range of haircare products for different types of hair and i'm given the Nourishing Breakage Defense (orange) which is meant for damaged and weak hair (oh those days of rebonding and bleaching and slamming colors every now and then on my hair)

Now, Essential is available in 4 variants to suit all hair needs and types:

- Nourishing Breakage Defense (orange) – for weak & damaged hair
- Moisturizing Frizz Free (pink) – for dull & rough hair
- Light Finish Volumizing (yellow) – for flat and limp hair
- Deep Cleansing Care (blue) – for oily scalp & dry ends (new)

I probably selected the wrong products because i have oily scalp instead of weak and damaged hair. Hence, i gave the shampoo to my mum and she saw considerable improvements on her.

The new Essential haircare range is available from mid-September 2014 at leading supermarkets, hypermarkets, western pharmacies and personal care stores.
